Adoption

We are constantly looking for owners for our rescued animals. Our rescued animals can be adopted spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. In the case of puppies and kittens, they are given to new families with a spay/neuter obligation, and their vaccination program will continue. For every adoption, we ask for a symbolic contribution of 10,000 HUF.

Our animals looking for a home can be found on our Facebook page.

The adoption process: after selecting a prospective owner, a mandatory personal meeting with the dog follows, and if the adoption is successful, one of our Foundation's members will take the dog to its new home.

Adoption requirements

We don't just want to find an owner and a home for our protégés, but the best owner and the best home. We place great emphasis on ensuring that the prospective owner and the chosen dog are a good match for each other.

Our basic requirements:

  • Responsible pet ownership
  • Escape-proof fence (for houses with a garden)
  • Compliance with vaccination programs and regular parasite treatment
  • Continued contact with the Foundation even after adoption
  • Small-breed and/or short-haired dogs are only given to homes with indoor or indoor/outdoor keeping
  • A detailed introductory letter is required about where and under what conditions the dog would live
  • If several people live in the household, the unanimous consent of everyone is required
  • In the case of a rented home, the owner's written consent is required
  • If there is already a dog in the home, a personal meeting with the prospective canine companion is mandatory
  • The owner must register the microchip in their own name within 15 days of adoption and keep the data up to date
  • For adoptions to the countryside (outside the borders of Budapest), a contribution to half of the fuel costs is required
  • We only give animals up for adoption to persons who have reached the age of 18
